I have been drawing and painting since I was a child when hand drawn Christmas Cards were de rigueur. There followed a long creative hiatus while I pursued a career as a scientist in Africa. Then came a move to North America and an unexpected change of pace to gallery owner where, once again, I was again able to pick up a brush and fling myself fearlessly into experimenting with different media and methodologies.
My creative process is wide and varied, I paint in oils, acrylic and watercolors, draw in pastels, ink, charcoal and many other things. I weave, sculpt and lino print. I have created a line of charm jewelry and sorority products, published a grown-up coloring book and opened a fashion boutique in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico which has encouraged me to begin designing and hand painting garments and creating a new line of jewelry. More recently I have begun wood turning and I am totally hooked on this dramatically creative process!
