These pieces have been inspired by
the beautiful, rough textured, hand
made pots that I find in Mexico.
My own work is becoming more and
more textured due to my increasingly
enthusiastic use of a palette knife.
The creation of my pots is more like
carving than painting. I can "feel" the
curves and the weight of the pots as I
work. The colours seem to leap from
my palette to the canvas of their own
volition, resulting in this vibrant series!
